Summary of COM201C - Government of Canada Key Management Infrastructure (GC KMI)

This course is designed for Government of Canada (GC) personnel who will be appointed as Key Management Infrastructure Operating Account Managers (KOAM) as part of the Communications Security (COMSEC) custodial staff in departments that have deployed a Management Client (MGC) workstation with Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) software. The course is modular in design to allow participants to systematically learn the software in bite-sized segments. The course focuses on how KMI allows for an automated approach to key management, using the KMI as the accounting tool.

Participants will order, produce, store, and distribute electronic cryptographic keying material as well as account for locally stored and distributed physical COMSEC material.
