The Lead Security Agency (LSA) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is responsible to provide leadership, advice and guidance for matters related to physical security. As part of this mandate, the RCMP LSA is developing and delivering a suite of physical security courses intended to provide and enhance physical security education to functional specialists in all GC departments and eligible organizations.
Description
This course aims to cover the TRA process for physical security practitioners within the Government of Canada (how TRAs fit into risk assessment and the types of TRAs one can perform). It will introduce the Harmonized Threat and Risk Assessment (HTRA) Methodology as a way to perform a TRA and will include a breakdown of HTRA by phase. This course will also reinforce through two scenario exercises using CSE’s Automated Security Threat and Risk Assessment (ASTRA) software.
