This Supply Chain Cyber Security online course provides training on the important principles for supply chain cyber security. It includes the steps that organizations can take to prepare for the supply chain risk management (SCRM) process, including how to assess and manage related risks.

This course is intended for organizations of all sizes that want to improve the resiliency of their supply chains and protect them against cyber security threats.

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to train Government of Canada (GC) agencies on how to properly perform a SCI assessment on information and communications technology products they wish to purchase to assess if the products come from reliable sources. They would be assessing the risk of making such a purchase. Then, it would be up to the GC agency to decide if they are willing to risk making the purchase.

Target Audience

The target audience is:

  • Information analysts and/or the equivalent
  • Information system security officers (ISSOs)
  • Analysts working in security accreditation and authorization (SA&A) teams
  • Departmental SCI teams

Although information analysis is not regarded as a technical field, a grasp of technical concepts will be an asset to complete the open-source research that is required.
